More than 820 million people worldwide go hungry. 150 million of these are children in Africa. Due to global crises and conflicts, the number of starving people is increasing at an alarming rate.
Our goal: Improving and securing the food situation in Africa and Eastern Europe
Our projects:
- Financing of regular school meals and free meals in children's centers
- Support for nutrition centers
- Distribution of food parcels
- Financing of animal breeding and seeds

Promote education
Education is a human right. However, over 260 million children between the ages of 6 and 17 do not have the opportunity to attend school. Only in half of all countries are all children enrolled in school. If children have the chance to go to school, they often finish without any qualifications and have no prospects.
According to UNESCO, more than 770 million adults are considered illiterate. Two thirds of them are women. They often have no choice but to earn a living as day laborers or to keep their heads above water by providing sexual services.
Our aim is to give girls and boys who have finished school prospects for the future.
Our projects:
- Own schools with a regulated curriculum
- School supplies for all children
- Payment of school fees and the cost of school uniforms.
- Literacy courses for adults
- Adult education on sustainable agriculture, housekeeping, language and sewing courses to secure livelihoods

Ensure dental hygiene
Toothache and well-being are closely linked. A diseased tooth can make the whole body ill. In poor countries, tooth decay is often a premature cause of death, as people cannot afford a toothbrush or toothpaste. This is why dental hygiene and dental health are so important, so that children can grow up carefree and go to school without pain. It is not uncommon for there to be one dentist for every 200,000 inhabitants.
Our goal: regular dental care and dental health checks for children and their parents.
Our projects:
- Half-yearly visits to the dentist at our schools
- Distribution of toothbrush utensils
- Regular training on how to brush your teeth properly
- Parents' courses in dental care and oral hygiene to set an example for children

Promoting girls' hygiene
Every day, around 800 million girls and women worldwide have their period. Hundreds of thousands of them are excluded from social life during this time. Prejudice, stigma and shame determine how women deal with their periods.
Many girls do not go to school during their period and miss classes every month. They are considered unclean and are afraid of bleeding in public. Hygiene products are usually unavailable or unaffordable.
Our goal: all girls go to school despite menstruation and increase their educational opportunities.
Our projects:
- Semi-annual distribution of reusable hygiene products
- Sewing courses for girls and women to sew their own sanitary towels
- Hygiene training to sensitize women to take special care of their bodies and hygiene during this time.
