What is a gift sponsorship?

Whether for a birthday, a first day at school or Christmas, a child sponsorship or project sponsorship is a meaningful gift idea all year round. Make your loved ones happy and give a child in need the chance of a better future at the same time.
If you give a child sponsorship as a gift, you as the donor pay the monthly contributions. The person receiving the gift will be listed as a sponsor in our administration and will receive all documents by post.
- For 35 EUR per month, you can give a child sponsorship as a gift. With this form of donation, you can see for yourself how and where your help goes. Child sponsorship is the most personal form of help and represents long-term support.
- For EUR 10 per month, you can give away a project sponsorship for nutrition, education, dental care or girls' hygiene in our project countries. This ends automatically after one year.

Who can give an ora sponsorship as a gift?
Both as an individual and as a group (e.g. community or school class), you can give and receive a child or project sponsorship as a gift. For a group sponsorship, we need a responsible person to act as a contact person.
How can I give an ora sponsorship as a gift?
You can do this by phone or online. Select the desired sponsorship and click on the gift symbol! 🎁
How will the recipient be informed?
You decide whether you would like to hand over the documents for the gift sponsorship in person or whether we should send them to the recipient. The recipient will get in touch with us personally and will receive all the documents from the start of the sponsorship. If you would like to give a gift to a child, you will be contacted by the child's legal guardian.
What will the recipient receive from the start of the gift sponsorship?
With a child sponsorship, the recipient receives a personalized certificate, regular sponsor mail and further information about us and our work. At the beginning of a project sponsorship, we send the recipient all the information on the selected topic. At the end of the one-year sponsorship, the recipient will receive a summary of all the successes achieved thanks to the sponsorship.
