Promoting health - saving lives
Every year, 6.6 million children die before their 5th birthday. In most cases, their deaths could be prevented - through improved hygienic conditions, medical treatment and vital vaccinations.
As ora Kinderhilfe, we are committed to ensuring that children and parents stay healthy and receive medical treatment if necessary.
Food
We ensure food security. Hundreds of boys and girls receive balanced school meals and are regularly treated with deworming treatments. Parents and guardians receive training on healthy eating. In our nutrition centers, we provide pregnant women with high-calorie food, vitamins and fiber and also ensure that women have enough to eat after giving birth so that they can breastfeed their babies.

Through our hygiene and tooth brushing courses, we teach physiological relationships and sensitize children and parents to a healthy approach to their bodies.
Toilets
We build toilets and position portable washbasins at central locations in the village, such as the school or the clubhouse.
