ora Children's Aid as a guest on the live podcast "Human rights: in demand"
In the Konrad Adenauer Foundation 's live podcast "Menschenrechte nachgefragt", Carmen Schöngraf, Managing Director of ora Kinderhilfe e. V., spoke with Dr. Oliver Ernst about the Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi and moderate Hutu in 1994 as well as the consequences and lessons learned. She travelled to Rwanda more than ten times, visited the traumatized women, listened to their stories and prayed with them for peace and reconciliation.
In the podcast , she talks personally, up close and authentically about her work, women's empowerment and the work of ora Kinderhilfe together with Solace Ministries with the surviving women of the genocide. Thirty years after the genocide, help is still needed. "Never again must women be used as weapons of war!"
